The Automobile Club of Piacenza in 1929 organized the first edition of the race speed climb "Bobbio Penice." The course, very challenging, ran along the characteristic curves unsurfaced which started from Bobbio. The first edition, June 9, 1929, he won the Count Luigi Visconti di Modrone ahead ofGino Cavanna always on Bugatti. The 1930 edition was won by Clemente Biondetti (Bugatti), while in 1931 win Enzo Ferrari on Alfa Romeo 8C 2300; this was his last race as a driver. After a break of twenty years in 1952 there was the victory of Gianni Cavallini on Count Otto Barattieri in 1953 by Giacomo Parietti on the Fiat 500 sport, and in 1954 by Camillo Luglio Lancia Aurelia. Another break in 1961 and the victory went to Gianni Brichetti on Maserati 2000 sport, in 1962  on Maserati 2000 sport always won Claudio Corini. The last edition was disputed June 9, 1963 and the success went to Mario Casoni on Cooper Junior.

The first Sunday of the month of September from 1994 the CPAE organizes the evocation of Bobbio Penice with a regularity race, the first event after returning from holidays to come together as lovers regularity drivers.
