The historic race, whose first edition dates back to 1948, was running to road racing on a 140-km loop around, which ran through the town of Porto San Giorgio, Fermo, Amandola, Comunanza, Ascoli Piceno and San Benedetto del Tronto : a fascinating and tortuous route from the Adriatic sea to the Sibillini mountains and back, crossing the green Piceno hills.

After the government decree of 1957, which prohibited the races on the open road, was revived as a reliability trial (or Rallye) and was held until the end of the '60s.

Among the participating pilots, authors of many battles, also stands a very young Lodovico Scarfiotti, debut in the world of street racing in the edition 1952 of the Fiat 500C.

The event is open to all cars in possession of Certificate of Identity and built by 31/12/1970.
