CAMEF, Circolo Auto Moto d'Epoca Frusinate, is the organizing club of the race and was set up in 1986 in Frosinone on the initiative of some vintage cars and motorbikes enthusiasts with the aim of keeping the interest in historic motor racing in Ciociaria alive and transmitting this cultural heritage to young people.

In 2002 the "Valle del Liri" was created, an event that over the years has managed to combine the sporting spirit of time trials with the beauty of the territory of Frosinone.

Since 2002, year of the 1st edition, the event has grown year by year and has been able to attract a large number of enthusiasts from all over the country, so much so that it won the Manovella d'Oro award in the years 2007-2010.

In 2016, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary, it was decided to make the now customary appointment at the beginning of October even more exciting, retracing the splendour of the "Frosinone Circuit" which includes a city ring completely closed to traffic, where the crews challenged each other to the rhythm of the time trials.

This "novelty" was a great success both among the participating crews and the enthusiasts who poured into the streets as the caravan of historic cars passed by. The CMEF has therefore decided to re-propose the Giro Valle del Liri - Frosinone Circuit formula both this year and in the future.
