A challenge among the Swiss Alps to win the FIA's regularity title.

The Alpine Challenge, which will take place between Friday and Sunday in the Chablais region in Canton Vaud and Valais, is the final of the 2020 FIA Trophy.

There will be three categories at the start: FIA Regularity, Challenge Regularity and Tourism/GT.

Among the contenders and favourites for the FIA title are the Italians Marcattilj, Aiolfi and reigning Italian Champion Maurizio Vellano; from Belgium Decremer and Martens, while from Poland Banas and Trzebiatowski are to be watched.

An unknown factor that will weigh on the race classification will be the weather conditions, in the last few days it has snowed all over the area and rain is certainly expected but, it is not to be excluded a return of snow that will undoubtedly complicate the life of the crews.

The race is organised by the Rallye du Chablais team. Its nerve centre will be Villars-sur-Ollon.

After today's scrutineering, the start will be on Friday at 11.00 a.m. and the arrival is scheduled for 6.30 p.m. after five timed sections.

On Saturday, participants will start at 8 a.m. and will cross Aigle, Châtel, Morgins where they will have to face five more regularity tests before returning to Villars. On Sunday, the start will be given again at 8 am. The classic cars will reach Conthey before returning to Villars at 1.10pm for the final arrival and the proclamation of the FIA 2020 Champion.
