ACI Sport has officially announced that the national organizers’ assembly — originally planned as an in-person meeting — will now take place online on November 29.
The decision, communicated through the notice
“To All Organizers”  follows numerous requests from clubs and event promoters seeking a more flexible and accessible format.

Differently from what was previously announced in the 2026 Calendar Circular, following many requests from organizers, the assemblies will be held online. The official communication and the detailed schedule will soon be published on the ACI Sport website,” the Federation stated.

Regional Meetings Leading Up to the National Assembly

In preparation for the national event, ACI Sport’s Regional Delegations are organizing territorial meetings with local race organizers.
These sessions aim to gather regional needs and proposals to lay the groundwork for the national
2026 Sporting Calendar.

To centralize information, ACI Sport has published a dedicated web page that will be regularly updatedwith all regional meeting dates.
At present, the
Emilia-Romagna and Piemonte-Liguria-Valle d’Aosta delegations have already confirmed their schedules, while other regions will follow shortly.

Historic Motorsport Sector: Strong Numbers for 2026

The historic racing scene continues to show remarkable vitality, with 170 registered events across rally, hill climb, circuit racing and regularity.
The
Regularity category once again leads the sector, with 71 events scheduled, representing nearly half of all historic competitions under ACI Sport.
These figures are consistent with the previous season, confirming the
excellent health and growing popularity of this traditional branch of motorsport.

As always, building the 2026 calendar will be a challenge: with 71 regularity events to distribute across weekends — excluding August and holiday periods — the number of viable dates remains limited.
Finding the right balance among regions and disciplines will require careful coordination between the Federation and organizers.

Toward the 2026 Sporting Calendar

This sequence of regional and national meetings marks a key step in defining the ACI Sport 2026 calendar, covering all disciplines — from rallying and karting to circuit racing, hill climb and historic competitions.

Conclusion

By moving the national assembly online and engaging regional delegations in advance, ACI Sport confirms its commitment to transparency, accessibility, and dialogue with the motorsport community.
The dedicated online hub for the 2026 calendar will serve as the central reference point for updates, helping teams and organizers prepare for a season expected to deliver strong participation and renewed enthusiasm — especially in the historic racing sector.
