After the opening phase of the season with the winter events, ACI Sport regularity moves into its core phase with the Coppa Giulietta & Romeo, the event that officially inaugurates the 2026 Italian Historic Regularity Championship (CIREAS). A well-established fixture that once again marks the transition towards the most technical and selective phase of the discipline.
The CIREAS represents the pinnacle of Italian historic regularity: a championship in which competitors fight for the Italian Category title (RC) without the application of coefficients, alongside an overall classification—unique within the ACI Sport historic panorama—which instead applies coefficients linked to the period of construction of the cars.
The result is a starting field ranging from pre-war cars to late-1990s models, offering a comprehensive overview of the evolution of the sports car interpreted through regularity competition.
The 2026 entry list confirms numbers in line with the previous season, underlining the solidity of the championship. A broad and varied field, with a significant presence of Top Driver and Super Top crews, who naturally stand among the favourites for the fight at the top.
Alongside them, however, there is no shortage of highly experienced NC crews, who, starting from the back of the field, could work their way into contention for the leading positions.
The entry list also highlights the presence of 22 teams, confirming a structured participation not limited to individual crews but involving the main historic regularity teams as well. This element further strengthens the profile of the CIREAS as a reference championship for teams and crews approaching the season with a full and organised programme.

Route and competition format
Coppa Giulietta & Romeo unfolds over 183 kilometres entirely on asphalt, featuring 65 timed tests, all different from each other. A classic regularity event run on open roads, where every hundredth of a second becomes decisive and precision is the sole objective.
The route alternates panoramic sections along Lake Garda and the Adige Valley with more technical inland stretches, following a layout revised compared to the previous edition. The double passage along Garda’s lakeside, including the final Power Stage, stands out as one of the most anticipated moments of the weekend.
With the Coppa Giulietta & Romeo, the 2026 Italian Historic Regularity Championship officially takes shape, opening a phase in which sporting confrontation becomes more direct and the technical value of the crews takes centre stage. An opening round that once again confirms the CIREAS as the most complete and selective proving ground of Italian historic regularity.
