Italian historic regularity racing witnessed one of its most significant moments yesterday. During the Power Stage Classic — valid for the Italian Historic Regularity Championship — a long-pursued milestone was finally reached: the legendary Triplo Zero.

The heroes of this extraordinary achievement were Riccardo Guggiana and Rossella Torri, who, behind the wheel of their elegant 1963 MG B Spider, managed to stop the clock exactly on the set target times without accumulating any penalties across all three timed sections. Until yesterday, no one had ever managed to achieve this in any of the previous editions of the Power Stage Classic.

This special "televised" stage, which awards valuable points for the overall championship standings, took place during La Marca Classica, an event organized by the Automobile Club Treviso, and served as the fifth round of the Italian Championship.

In regularity racing, every hundredth of a second early or late results in penalties. That is why achieving absolute timing perfection across three consecutive stages represents an almost impossible feat. For four seasons, no one had managed to accomplish the Triplo Zero. Yesterday, Riccardo and Rossella finally wrote their names into history.

"Every year someone got closer, but always missed that final hundredth. This time, perfection was reached. A result that rewards technique, sensitivity, and perfect harmony between crew and car," was the unanimous comment from those present during the gala dinner held last night.

The names of Riccardo Guggiana and Rossella Torri will now forever be engraved in the Power Stage Classic’s Hall of Fame as the first to achieve the Triplo Zero — an accomplishment that now sets a new benchmark for all enthusiasts of Italian historic regularity racing.
