The Targa Florio Rally, scheduled for 14–16 May 2026, will also serve as the ideal setting for the thrilling challenges of the Italian Historic Regularity Rally Championship, with the Sicilian event marking the second round of the season, following the opening round at the Rally Costa Smeralda on 24 and 25 April. The points scored by each driver will be multiplied by a coefficient of 1.5, adding further interest to the island’s race, which is particularly technical and demanding.
The CIRAR cars will be the first to set off to tackle the stages of the 110th Targa Florio, followed by the historic cars competing in the Italian Historic Rally Championship, and then the modern cars of the Sparco Italian Rally Championship and the Coppa Rally di Zona. The route, covering a total of 354.21 km including transfers, will feature 7 special stages totalling 97.1 km. This Sicilian route promises fun and spectacle for both crews and spectators, where the extraordinary cars in the race – true jewels of the past – will bring to life that sporting and cultural epic created by Don Vincenzo Florio in 1906.
The programme: Scrutineering will take place in Palermo, where the traditional and highly popular starting ceremony will be held in Piazza Verdi on the evening of Thursday 14 May. After the parade on the podium in front of the Teatro Massimo, the cars will head to Campofelice di Roccella for the overnight stop.
On Friday 15 May, the first stage will take place, starting from Campofelice di Roccella and featuring five special stages covering a total of 69.60 km. The stage will conclude in Collesano. On Saturday 16 May, starting from Campofelice di Roccella, the cars will tackle a further two special stages totalling 27.50 km, with the finish and prize-giving ceremony at the University of Palermo at 12:00, in time for competitors from the mainland to catch the return ferry.
The 2025 edition saw Ermanno Giorgio Keller and Marianna Ambrogi crowned champions; in the 60 km class, they drove their Audi Quattro from the Scuderia del Grifone’s Group 4 with authority. In the 50 km class, victory went to the crew of Fabrizio Rossi and Marco Frascaroli in a Lancia Fulvia Coupé Montecarlo from Group 4.
